We represent employees in health and safety grievances, work-related disability retirement claims, and claims for reasonable accommodations in both the public and private sectors.  We advise employees, employee organizations and employers on health and safety issues, and their resolution.

We assist employees and employers in identifying indoor air quality problems and their causes, through assembling and analyzing information about building conditions.  We help assess what might be appropriate remedial action to address indoor air quality problems, and help develop ways of monitoring remediation projects.  We also help building occupants evaluate the impact of indoor air quality problems on their medical condition.

We work with teachers and teachers’ unions in identifying and evaluating problems related to school physical facilities, including structural problems, systems deterioration, environmental problems, and deficiencies in maintenance and operations.  We help building committees, school administrations, and school building occupants prevent such problems through better design, construction and maintenance of school buildings.

Many of the indoor air quality or health and safety problems in public buildings are the results of design and construction problems.  We have worked with public entities and public employees to try to ensure that a planned construction project is well designed and has adequate funding.  We have drafted proposed revisions to public construction regulations and school construction regulations in particular.

We represent employee organizations individual employees and employers in employment related matters.  We represent employees and employers in issues relating to severance agreements, non-compete agreements, acquisition of corporate stock and terminations.

We advise businesses about appropriate organization, structuring, and financing.  We represent businesses in negotiating service contracts and help businesses in reviewing insurance, vendor and sales contracts.  We advise business partners in acquisitions, split-ups, and sales.
